Chelsea, my little PA, flew into town to take a test. We had the pleasure of hosting her at our home for the week. Started off with Sunday dinner at my parents’ house because Chelsea is basically their second daughter.
My plumeria, as previously mentioned, was on the brink of death and I revived the thing. Now it’s blooming like crazy and I pretend it’s springtime when I’m in Squeaker’s room.
Creepy nap for Doug and Professor after work.
This behavior is not ok with us, but we had to take a picture first before they got bumped.
I shamelessly entered a contest to win a “date” with George Clooney to walk down the red carpet at a movie premier (Doug’s idea). It was for a good cause. By good cause I don’t just mean me on a date with George Clooney, because that is in fact a great cause, but the proceeds all went to charity. Win win. Oh and I should mention that Doug could’ve come on the date too…
We spent several hours on Saturday going from store to store to buy a sled because it was a beautiful day and we wanted to go sledding in our park. We came to the conclusion that sleds aren’t manufactured, it’s just something that your parents’ have, like gum in your mom’s purse- you don’t know where it came from, it’s just always there. No stores had any sleds for sale then we finally came upon those roll-up sleds at Wal-Mart and made the purchase. They served their purpose but they were the worst quality ever.
After sledding we entertained the cats. Or they entertained us. The distinction is unclear.
My “sister” turned 30! Happy Birthday, Claire.
Cutest table decorations to go with a delicious Sunday dinner by Janet.
We really need some new entertainment.
I finished reading this book a few days ago (loved it) and there’s nothing I love more than getting to watch a movie of a book I just finished. It’s like dessert. Or a giant reward for finishing a book. I stand the book on the bookshelf like a freaking trophy then have a ceremony by watching the movie. Only downfall is I’m really nit-picky of every liberty taken by the writers/director after just finishing a book when the details are fresh on my mind. Still worth it.
Doug and I have an app to practice our Spanish with and we have contests against each other. You get points for completing lessons and this week I am in the lead by a long shot. “Mis gatos beben leche.”
