I started Monday off right with a massage after work. It’s the worst when you realize they’re finishing up (mine always ends with my right foot) and I get so sad and try to savor every last second. Ahhh…
We have loved living in this house. However, one thing it lacks is air conditioning, you know- for those 4 really hot days in an Idaho summer. This is our jimmy rigged a/c unit sitting next to our watch-cat.
I begged Doug to take me to Reed’s Dairy last week, not so much for the ice cream I just wanted to pet the farm animals. Yes, Doug married a child.
Happy birthday to my darling one year old niece. It’s odd if you ever catch this girl without a giant grin on her cute face. She’s easily the happiest baby I’ve met.
We tried a new Italian restaurant in town for date night and I got the eggplant parm. Doug ordered salmon and they asked how he wanted it cooked and it threw us into a little tailspin because he’d never been asked that before (he orders salmon quite often), mainly because the waitress kind of gave him the look like “what idiot answers ‘cooked’ to that question?”. So we googled it after she left to put our order in and found someone that had an identical experience so then we felt justified in not feeling stupid. It cracked us up because this guys’ story was almost verbatim the dialogue that Doug and our waitress had. I digress, here’s a picture of my dinner.
All work and no play makes Doug (and Professor) a tired boy. Professor always sleeps on my clean laundry, darn cat.
We had game night tonight with some friends and the hosts did a Root Beer taste testing thing to start. It was a blind taste test with 17 different Root Beer choices. It was pretty crazy finding out what the brands were after you had ranked them. A&W was my least favorite out of 17 choices. That totally surprised me because I always just assumed that was good root beer. Shasta was down on everyone’s list too as being pretty bad.
