We are babysitting my boss’s kids this week. They aren’t babies though so I don’t know if it’s still called “babysitting”. They’re old enough to take care of themselves and they are good kids; Doug and I are just there to make sure the shenanigans are kept to a minimum
We played volleyball which turned into “how many balls can we get stuck on the basketball hoop”. I believe this was a new record.
I played Mexican Train with the girls…and the muppets.
Edit: I’ve had the Muppet Babies theme song stuck in my head since I uploaded this picture, hence the post title.
Goodnight, lights out.
They still love Sam Tsui. He came for a private concert for last year’s birthday party. This is the youngest watching his latest work, she has all his songs memorized. So cute. I spy a familiar Christmas card in the background…
First day of summer. They found the neighbor’s escaped miniature creature. Doug was with them upon the discovery and I was pretty jealous I missed it. I’m also jealous of summer vacation.
I think the meme below pretty much sums up my feelings on puppies. We used to live really close to a Sportmans Warehouse and would walk over there on Saturdays to see all the puppies for sale and, if we were lucky, hold them. I think I did a fist pump every time.
After eating our sandwiches we had a little ice spitting competition to see who could launch a piece of ice the farthest. Doug had the title until Hailey did a front handspring and launched her ice like two sidewalk squares farther. It was the funniest thing I saw yesterday.
I bought a garden gnome yesterday and put him in his new home this morning. It was a proud purchase.
