We were babysitting our boss’s kids all this week. Sunday the girls and I had a spa day.
They have a really long hallway that we often have races down. Doug is the champion skipper. By that I don’t mean he’s a really good boat captain, just that he’s really good at skipping and beating everyone down the hall. Who knows, maybe he will be a captain of a boat someday.
One of the nights Ellie and I came to visit our cats because they got really lonely. We played Old Maid and Go Fish and let the cats get high on some ‘nip.
Picking fresh Meyer Lemons so I can make yummy lemon water at work.
The Valentine’s Day sunset was beautiful. The night wasn’t exactly romantic but it was fun nonetheless. We took the kids to Five Guys for dinner and then did a treasure hunt for them to find their Valentine’s treats.
This was my Valentine’s gift from Dougie. It’s a fun photo montage book that he had delivered to the office. My gift to him will be featured in a later post… just wait. We finished babysitting today and went out to dinner and watched a movie for our Valentine’s date.
Saturday night dinner: Jamaican Brown Chicken Stew with Red Beans and Rice. I tried this recipe awhile back and it’s made it into our regular rotation now, we love it. Has a nice little kick to it.
We’re still working on our front room remodel. This week we should be getting our new can lights so we had to map out where they go (that’s what all the white circles on the floor are).
