Maybe everyone already knew what “Auld Lang Syne” meant, but I had to look it up on New Years because I didn’t know. A rough translation according to Wikipedia is “for old times sake”. I thought that was fitting.
Our New Years Eve was spent being awesome: we went out to dinner and then came back and watched Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Rings) extended version whilst completing a Star Wars puzzle start to finish, drinking a whole thing of Martinellis, munching on giant oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and trying to keep the cats from eating the puzzle. Maybe awesome wasn’t the right adjective. But either way it’s clear that things get pretty wild around the Webster house. Especially considering the fact that I fell asleep at approximately 11:52… SO close! The puzzle was short lived as the cats had their way with it the following morning. Bummer.
I know it must be hard to believe that that much activity all took place in one night. For those incredulous readers I have photographic proof.
2012 was good to us. For auld lang syne, cheers.
