Thanksgiving

I know it’s a bit late, but better late than never. We had a great Thanksgiving last week. Crazy to think where we were and what we were doing last year for Thanksgiving. I miss our buddies and the international food we chowed on last year. But, it was definitely time for a good ‘ol fashioned turkey feast.

JT & Kacie were able to make it over from Boise. We couldn’t believe how much the girls have grown.

We were a little lazy with our camera this holiday but I did get a shot of this pie Kacie made.

Mouthwatering

We had such a nice dinner and had so much fun hanging out with family on Thursday.

We have so much to be thankful for: Our family, our friends, our jobs, the gospel, a nice place to live, the food on the table the list goes on and on. It’s nice to take a day to reflect on how much you’ve been blessed with.

Friday we met up with Chris & Julia Marcum for lunch then headed back to my parents for our “Christmas”. (After an afternoon nap with the cat). We decided to do Christmas early with JT & Kacie this year. Aya had a blast playing “Santa” and handing out the gifts.

Awww

Doug gave me one of my birthday presents early so we could play it after “Christmas”. The rest of the night was spent with us making fools of ourselves playing Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii. Reminded me of high school, good times.

Saturday we celebrated my birthday. Instead of a killer game of laser tag Doug had the idea to go shooting up at the farm. Here all come the shooting pictures…I can’t resist, people just look cool when they’re holding a gun.

Sharpshooter
Ready…Aim…
Fire!
Notice the pumpkins in the truck…they were later shot to pieces
A proud moment

Thank you Rob for letting us shoot all your clay pigeons!

On the way up to the farm Doug and I passed a field of swans. I don’t know if that’s a normal occurrence or not but we found it to be strange. So of course I made Doug pull the car over so I could take a picture of them.

Field of…Swans ?

We went and got Millhollow (my favorite. I don’t know what it is about that place but it’s incredible) then went bowling with the family. Made Doug and I  realize that maybe we should practice bowling more. Turns out we’re better at bowling on the Wii than in real life. All the practice down the drain…

My mom made me a delicious coconut cream cake that about lit fire from the large amount of candles. I think Doug sneaked in a few extras. Good day.

Thanks family for making my birthday great!

You all look like naturals with the guns!

That poor cake had a melt-down with all those candles!

Shooting on thanksgiving must be an Idaho thing, we do it too. We went to Wal-mart before thanksgiving to buy clay pigeons and there were like 5 other people buying them for the same thing and the girl at the register was like, “I’ve seen so many people buying these today.” Ha! Yay for Idaho! And happy birthday..again!

The pie looked delicious! The little ones are ADORABLE. And, the gun pics are great. You’re right, there is something cool when someone is holding a gun, especially guys, especially when they are Tyler. hehe. He’s a sharp shooter, and is SO GOOD at shooting. I think it’s so fun to watch him.

Love the bday pic! I’m confused, are you 2 or are you 5?
