Last weekend was such a treat. We got to go to Nana’s house in St. Anthony and look at all the treasures in her house. Nana has been around for almost a century now and could easily open up her own museum. I had the most fun I’ve had in awhile just looking through old books, hats, shoes, exercise equipment, medicine, cleaning products, dishes, you name it. Nana had some serious fashion sense (she still does) and has kept most of her wardrobe she’s collected over the years, resulting in some great conversation pieces and awesome antique jewelry. Too bad I don’t wear the same size shoe as her…of all the rotten luck! We realized how junky everything is made now. It seems most things these days are made out of particle board and plastic and only built to last a year or two; whereas Nana had some great, still functioning, items that are decades old.
Nana has a wonderful house. Even though I’ve only been a part of the family for about three years, I still get a sense of how many good memories were made at there.
The girls had so much fun playing dress-up. This place was a girl’s dress-up fantasy!
Well, I guess the girls aren’t the only ones who like to play dress up…
Here is one of Nana’s old coats. It’s a sneak peak of what I’d look like if we were millionaires. Doug and I had a fun little photo-shoot the other night and I had a great time getting all dolled up in Nana’s attire/accessories.
Thank you Nana! We love you!
