Last week my student Bee told me one of his hobbies is Kung Fu. I asked him if he would perform for Doug and I and he happily agreed. He used nun chucks and moved so quickly and gracefully that he made it look really easy. He was really entertaining to watch. Bee asked if Doug wanted to try and gave Doug a mini-lesson. We quickly learned that nun chucks are much harder than they look! Bee is now teaching his friend, David, Kung Fu so they performed a little together. We often see students practicing around campus with their different Kung Fu techniques, which is pretty cool and not anything I’m used to seeing regularly on a college campus. Little things like this make for a really unique experience here in China!
