We came to the realization that summer is quickly coming to a close and we have yet to accomplish a fair amount of our summer list. We decided to impose an “epic summer week” to squeeze in as much as we could. It was so fun, we should’ve be doing this every week.
Monday: Pick Raspberries with Grandma Beck
She has an amazing garden and is nice enough to share her raspberries with us every year.
The berries were so good. I tried a new little recipe and we were very pleased with the result. It was super easy, but surprisingly delicious.
Add sour cream and then sprinkle brown sugar evenly on top. Broil until done. The raspberries stay cool and the top is warm and it creates an unusual, yet fantastic taste. Try it.
Tuesday: Museum of Idaho Bodies Exhibition
This was such a good experience. We learned so much and were in awe of how incredible the human body is.
Wednesday: Alive After Five.
Good music. Had fun people watching and ate some Mexican food. Walking around old downtown is fun.
Thursday: Chukars Baseball Game
Never been to a Chukars game but there is nothing that makes you feel more American than eating a hot dog and nachos at a baseball game. Apparently it was Star Wars night. I don’t really know what that means besides there were a lot of people in costume and the pictures of the players on the screen were replaced with characters from Star Wars. Felt bad for the player that had to be Jabba the Hutt all night. Anyway, it was too bad we didn’t know before hand, we would’ve brought our light saber….seriously.
The game was a lot of fun. We lost, but put up a good fight.
Friday: Supposed to be tennis night, but I fell asleep after work so we ended up staying in for the evening.
Saturday: Bike ride to Tautphaus Park + Dog Show
We’ve never been to a dog show before but I always thought it sounded fun. Turns out I was right. Saw a bunch of dog-lovers with their extremely obedient dogs doing some pretty cool tricks. Good day.
It was a great week. Need to get a few more of these in before it snows!

You two are so fun! I Love the pictures with grandma Beck- she is so cute! And the dog show- lol-so random but I would seriously like to go to one!
Thursday reminds me of when we went and saw the star wars premier and we dressed up with our awesome queen amadala makeup haha.
Oh yes we are so awesome! Remember how I sliced my finger open on the sno shack blade right before but didn’t want to get stitches and risk missing the movie? Haha well I have a pretty wicked scar from that
