I mustache you a question

What you see below might shock and even disturb you, but I assure you everything is ok.

Doug had a full beard going on and was shaving Sunday night and as a (hilarious) joke left just the ‘stache. I told him he should leave it like that for work and when he considered it I sort of freaked out a little bit so unfortunately he shaved it off. I know, I know. It’s my fault.

I call my outfit my “seed catalog outfit” for anyone that’s a fan of The Office. It was pretty funny the other day Doug and I got dressed for work, turned and looked at each other and busted up laughing. We had on identical outfits. So we just rolled with it. Casey was wearing gingham that day too so it was a perfect phot-op.

Tuesday we flew into Dayton, OH (work related) and had a few hours to kill so we went to the National Air Force Museum and it was very cool. I was admittedly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

We left really early, early enough to catch the sunrise. That’s pretty rare for me.

Here are lots of pictures of airplanes now. I tried thinking of captions but I’ll be honest here, I don’t know what any of the planes are called and I’m not going to pretend like I do.

Please pause long enough to look at Doug’s expression in the picture below.

F-14 something. (I asked Doug on this one)

So this airplane is the actual bomber that dropped the bomb on Nagasaki.  I felt weird posing with it, almost like glorifying this thing that killed 75k people. From a strictly historical standpoint I get it.  And it was interesting to learn about it while there and this basically ended the war but all I could think about was the damage this one machine inflicted and how sick humanity can be.

Classic war propaganda. I liked this one especially, just straight to the point. No beating around the bush.

Awesome museum, would definitely recommend.

Now onto Cleveland, OH for the Indians vs. White Sox game. I felt so American this day- looking at airplanes all morning then eating junk food and nachos out of a giant plastic baseball hat while watching a ball game. That’s America right there.

We felt lucky to see our (Doug’s) friend Matt pitch! Really cool.

The next morning we met Matt for breakfast before our flight. Doug looks so miniature next to him.

Now on to NYC. For sake of avoiding an obnoxiously long post, I think I’ll move on to a second post here.
