Before During and After

Here’s some before and after shots of our living room remodel 5 months in the making. Please ignore the furniture and lack of decor, that’s the next on the list. Then the kitchen/dining area after that. We’re just happy we have the construction part done. We did everything ourselves (with the help of my dad) with the exception of the texture on the walls and the painting.

Notice how dark it is (this is after me lightening the pictures too). We only had that one light in the whole living room. You can see we moved it to the new dining area and added a lot of can lights. The dining room used to be adjoined with the living room (on carpet). Notice the “pass through” window on the wall on the left. It’s a little dark to tell but there is also wallpaper on 3 of the walls that we removed.

We knocked out a large portion of this archway/wall and the entry way closet. Notice the floor too, we took out the tile and carpet and added hardwood to the entryway.

    That looks amazing!! i love those shadowboxes! As I was looking at the pics I didn’t know what to call them (but then noticed that’s what you called). They make the rooms look so nice.
