Resolution

We didn’t get too serious by way of resolutions this year but we have started one goal. Last year when I went to Vegas with my friends I picked up this photo album for Doug:

A Photo A Day, Your Year in Photos

And that is our New Years goal, to document, by way of photograph, each day of the year. We’ve come to realize we need to really delve into the creative parts of brains for this to work. When we get home from work it is already dark and too cold for us [pansies] to go outside to take a photo and so that leaves us to our devices indoors. Pretty much our only subjects are the pets. See the problem? We are trying to avoid 365 pictures of our cats napping. Ideally we’d like to avoid iPhone photos too but doesn’t always happen either. Thus far we haven’t missed a day of at least some form of photo yet so that’s saying something.

New years day meal was our favorite dish: Bucatini with tomatoes and pancetta, aka “bestie”.

I looked up from reading my novel to see this little Kodak moment on the bed.

We play a game sometimes with the little model. One of us will manipulate the model into a pose and the other person has to copy the pose. I know, I know. You are jealous at how much fun we have.

My boss is on to me and is starting to question what level of “crazy cat lady” I am. He got me these magnetic poetry words in “I Can Haz Cheezburger” language.

We went to Boise for baby Jonathan’s blessing. We had our “Christmas” together. Aya liked her gift.

Brynn is a little doll.

Amaryllis that I haven’t killed yet.

Lemon cake from Johnny Carinos to compliment good conversation.

Eating lunch is hard at our house. It’s every beast for himself.

Dinner with friends. Casey was cold so they bought a heating blanket that we all took advantage of.

That’s a great idea to do a photo a day journal! You’re good about keeping them all dated. I loved ALL the pictures, and the two of the kitties, well, I just thought, “Oh noes! u iz stealin my heartz!”
